What To Expect Things to know before you show

Resonate Atlanta gathers to worship the resurrected Christ on Sundays as one family.

Currently we are gathering once a month at Cumberland Community Church until our location is ready in the city. Here's what to expect when you worship with us.

Arrival

When you walk in the doors you should be greeted by some smiling faces who can point you in the direction of the main auditorium. Before service begins we have music playing in the background and we invite you get to know some of the people and familiarize yourself with our facility. You can also ask the greeters the location of the bathrooms, nursery, and kids area.

Call to Worship

We begin our service with a call to worship. All of our lives are worship and Sunday morning service is a special time of worship together as God’s people.

Music

We use a mix of ancient hymns and current songs. We sing in response to God. Who he is and what he has done is his grace in our lives and it propels us to worship.

Sermons

The time when we study the Bible is an important portion when one of the pastors of the church preach a sermon. We are committed to treating the Bible with respect by reading within its literary and historical context, attempting to understand the author’s intent, dealing with the specific words, and by addressing how culture and our lives are related to the gospel it heralds.

The Lord’s Supper

The table is open every week to anyone with a resolve that faith in Jesus Christ is our only hope for humans. The ordinance of the Lord’s Supper is a commemoration and supplication for the grace provided for in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. During any time during the service one may go to one of the communion stations, take a piece of bread and a cup of juice and partake. This is also an excellent time to demonstrate new found faith. If communion is not laid out, there will be a specific time during the service where couples will have the bread and cup available for tearing and dipping.

Giving

There are Joy Boxes where we worship God out of our earnings. It is not a payment nor a gimmick, but a joy and responsibility for those who consider Resonate their church or a place whose mission they support. The money given goes to sustain and spread the mission of Resonate to Atlanta and beyond. Giving is also available here online.
