WHY DOES RESONATE EXIST?
In Ephesians 4, Paul expresses that the role of the church is to equip all the saints for the work of ministry. This involves making disciples who make disciples. Those disciples are tasked with the work of ministry, which is the mission of God, to proclaim and demonstrate the good news of the Kingdom of God both locally and globally and salvation in Christ alone.
Atlanta has many Gospel-centered churches found in the various neighborhoods. At its very beginning Resonate started as a city church born from a yearning to see a community transformed by the gospel. We believe that the presence of the church is the presence of Christ in a world that desperately needs hope. We believe that we are fulfilling our biblical calling to disciple our neighbors and the nations by pursuing God through His word and living missionally in all we do.
TWO THROUGH LINES
There are two through lines that influence all that we do at Resonate.
They inform, guide, and focus our mission.
FOR GOD'S GLORY
What is the goal of what we do? God’s glory! We seek to make Jesus known and glorify Him in all we do.
TO ALL PEOPLE
Who are a part of our mission? All people! We make disciples among our neighbors near and far, engaging all peoples and cultures, including our families.

Below are the collection of beliefs that we call our “Congregational Statement of Faith.” They are held by Partners at Resonate. For our Elder Statement of Faith, click here. This would include the specific positions the Elders will hold and teach from.
GOD
We believe there is only one sovereign God, creator of all things. He eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

THE TRINITY
We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. The Holy Spirit conceived Him, God with us, and a virgin girl named Mary gave him birth. Jesus lived a sinless life, was crucified, arose bodily from the dead and ascended into heaven. We wait for his personal return.

JESUS' WORK
We believe that God’s motive toward us is love. Love prompted God to send Jesus as the only sacrifice for our sins. Through Jesus, we receive forgiveness by his grace and we are to extend that same grace and forgiveness to others.

SALVATION
We believe that salvation comes through faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ. Jesus is the only way to the Father.

THE WORD
We believe the Bible is God’s true, written word. It is inspired and trustworthy.

IMAGO DEI
We believe that God created human beings in His image. Through our own choice, we fell into sin.

HOLY SPIRIT
We believe that the Holy Spirit lives within us—guiding our lives, empowering us for service and showing us when we fall short. Through the Spirit, we glorify Jesus.

OUR IDENTITY
We believe that our true identity is found in Christ.
Gal. 2:20; 1 Cor. 5:17
THE KINGDOM
We believe in the Kingdom of Heaven as already here—but not yet fully here. We experience a taste of heaven and hell in everyday life, and we live according to the Spirit as a precursor to our eternal life.

AN ANCIENT FAITH
We are a church that builds upon the theological works of those before us, therefore think of ourselves as historically orthodox as well. We affirm some of the ancient creeds of the church.
